4TH OF JULY

Happy 4th of July everyone! I am so proud to live in this country and to be an American. We truly have so many freedoms and this is a great land. I am so thankful for our troops and their courage to defend our country and our freedom. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Last Wednesday, July 2nd, my mom and sister flew in from Las Vegas, NV. We have had a blast getting together and finally getting to spend some 'girl' time with each other. Friday morning, we went shopping @ Gordman's. Is there no better way to start a vacation by shopping?! What an experience! Girls love to shop, and I must say, I have no problem living up to this "stereotype." Nothing beats finding cute clothes for unbelievable deals! Afterall, I am a full time mom and deserve some trips to the mall every once in awhile.

I had never been to Gordmans before and I often wondered what it was that they sold there. After talking with Sonya Nabors, she peeked my interest in the things they offered. It's one of my new favorite stores. They sell all types of clothing, home accessories, shoes, kid's clothes, etc...Their prices are great and affordable! The store is comparable to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and Ross, except cheaper prices and more upscale. If you have never been, go check it out! (And since I'm doing word-of-mouth free advertising, I think Gordman's should give me a little something :) ).

Friday evening we spent at Thomas Park in Moore. Karson was beside himself with all the things to do for little kids. He even got to ride his first 'roller coaster' at the fair. Unfortunately, when the ride ended, he didn't want to get out. The fireworks were awesome and beautiful. The only problem was, Karson wasn't too interested in the fireworks. You would think a child would be intrigued by the sparkles in the sky, but he could have cared less.

My mom goes home tonight, but my sister is staying with us for another 3 weeks. Her and Karson have a wonderful bond and I know Karson will just be thrilled. It has been so much fun getting to spend quality time with my family. I sure do wish we could visit Las Vegas more!
