Pregnancy can be an exciting time in one's life or an unexpected hardship that one must endure. Unfortunately, the onset of pregnancy has done many cruel things to my body the past 3 months. This is why I have not written in such a long time because this baby has drained everything out of my body. I won't go into all the details I have experienced, but I definitely had horrible morning sickness with this baby. With Karson's pregnancy, I had the normal nausea & vomiting and thankfully, it only lasted until 12-13 weeks. I was hoping with my second pregnancy, I would somehow be lucky enough to skip the whole sickness altogether. Such naive thinking on my part. I was sick all day long, threw up at least 3-10 times a day, and only slept about 4 hours a night. On top of it all, I got to be bless by the plague of the Oklahoma Flu! I literally thought I was going to die. I had to go to the Emergency Room because I was not able to hold any food or liquid down for over 24 hours and supposedly this bacteria was only supposed to last for 48 to 72 hours at the most. WRONG! For a normal human being, yes it did. For a sick pregnant woman, it lasted 3 weeks. All I could do was lay in bed for weeks on end. Poor Bryce, literally, had to do 'most of everything' for those weeks.
Thankfully, smells are starting to smell good again and I can eat breakfast & lunch. Dinner is still in question to this day but is getting better. And yes, I count down every day until this will all pass. Which, in a few days, I will be 15 weeks along. It has far exceeded Karson's pregnancy, but I still have hope. I should be about 95% better here within a week. It wasn't until recently, I could actually sit down at a computer longer than 2 minutes--so, this is why I have not written in quite a long time!
We are excited to be expecting and my due date is May 11th. Karson does seem excited to have another sibling. We will find out in December what we are having. What a nice Christmas present!
